About
Ryan Roxie is an American guitarist, singer/songwriter best known as a Solo Artist and for his guitar work with Alice Cooper, Casablanca and Slash's Snakepit.
Roxie is also the primary founder of the System-12 Guitar Method and also host of the weekly In the Trenches with Ryan Roxie podcast.
Ryan Roxie is no stranger to the world stage. As longtime lead guitarist and collaborator for rock icon Alice Cooper, Roxie has earned a reputation as one of the genre’s most respected players — blending classic guitar tone with a melodic, alternative rock influenced edge that makes every riff sting.
Now, with the release of his latest singles “Fight Another Day” and “Better Than You”, Roxie steps confidently into the solo spotlight. The tracks are swaggering, guitar-fueled blasts of indie-rock — channeling the spirit of Cheap Trick, The Dandy Warhols, and early Oasis, while staying true to the signature style he’s honed over decades onstage.
Roxie’s career began in the Hollywood club scene with glam-tinged Candy, then Atlantic Records’ Electric Angels (produced by Tony Visconti). By the mid-’90s, he was contributing guitar to Gilby Clarke (GnR) and Slash’s Snakepit, while co-founding bands like Dad’s Porno Mag and the alt-rock outfit Roxie 77.
In 1996, he joined the Alice Cooper band after a few good words were put in for him by Gilby and a shady character known as 'Bobby from Mates' while proving himself in the audition.
Roxie co-wrote tracks on several Cooper albums including The Eyes of Alice Cooper and Dirty Diamonds, as well as the most recent Alice Cooper album Road. All the while, Roxie has been sharing global stages with the likes of Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, Rob Zombie, Halestorm, along with many more legendary bands.
His solo catalog includes the fan-favorite solo album Imagine Your Reality (featuring Cheap Trick’s Robin Zander), and his projects have earned praise from notably Classic Rock Magazine and the international rock press.
Offstage, Roxie’s passion for "passing the torch onto the next generation" continues through his System-12 Guitar Method — a structured, no-nonsense approach to learning guitar — as well as his long-running podcast In The Trenches with Ryan Roxie. He also has broadcasted his DJ talent on the Monsters of Rock Radio, keeping one foot in the studio and the other firmly planted in the scene.
Whether mentoring new players, releasing his own material, or tearing it up with Alice Cooper, Ryan Roxie’s mission remains the same: make real, honest rock n' roll — and above all, Enjoy the Ride. Read more about Roxie on Wikipedia link below.
